Terms and conditions
Last updated: 9 September 2026
Thriving Minds Collective Ltd, company number 16358249, trades as The Brighton Psychologists and runs this website along with the therapy it describes. Using either one means accepting what follows below, so read it before you book a session rather than after.
What the site itself is, and isn’t
Nothing here substitutes for a proper clinical assessment. The pages give general background on the practice, and shouldn’t be read as advice tailored to your own situation. Content gets updated as things change, but the site can occasionally go offline or a page may move without warning.
Age and eligibility
We work exclusively with adults, meaning anyone 18 or over. Enquiries on behalf of a child or teenager will be redirected towards NHS or other services set up for that age group, since that isn’t something we provide.
Where this doesn’t help
Weekly video appointments aren’t built for a crisis. Anyone in danger right now, or struggling with thoughts of harming themselves, should ring 999, get to A&E, or speak to the Samaritans on 116 123 rather than waiting on us.
The practical side of a session
- Fifty minutes, held over secure video with a clinical psychologist registered with the HCPC.
- £130 per session, taken by card or bank transfer before the appointment happens, with no discounted or free first meeting.
- 48 hours’ notice for cancelling or moving a booking, or the fee is likely to still apply since the slot was already reserved for you.
Beyond that, it’s on you to find somewhere private with a stable connection, and to be straightforward with your psychologist about what’s going on so they can actually help.
Who’s qualified to see you
Every psychologist working under this practice holds HCPC registration and answers to its code on conduct, performance and ethics. Anyone can look that registration up directly through hcpc-uk.org.
What you can do with this website’s content
Text, imagery and the design of the site are either ours outright or used here under licence, and copyright protects all of it. Reading and sharing pages for your own purposes is fine. Taking the material and reusing it somewhere commercial is not, unless we’ve agreed to it first.
Where our liability ends
General information here isn’t a stand-in for your psychologist’s or GP’s own advice. As far as UK law allows it, we won’t be liable for loss connected to how you’ve used this site, and anything owed in relation to the therapy itself tops out at whatever you’ve actually paid in fees. That cap doesn’t apply anywhere the law forbids capping it, such as death or injury caused through our own negligence.
Other people’s websites
Occasional links out to other sites are there purely for convenience. What happens on them is outside our control, and a link is not us vouching for the destination.
Jurisdiction
England and Wales law covers these terms in full, and any disagreement about them, or about how the site’s been used, goes through the courts there.
If these terms change
Updates get posted here as and when they happen, and carrying on with the site or the service afterwards counts as accepting whatever’s changed.
