Cookie policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
Thriving Minds Collective Ltd, trading here as The Brighton Psychologists, runs a small number of cookies on this site, explained below alongside our privacy policy.
The short version of what a cookie does
It’s a tiny file left on your device so a site can recognise you again, whether that’s between separate visits or just from one page to the next in the same session.
The one you can’t turn off
A single cookie remembers your cookie-banner choice, so you’re not asked again on every page you open. It’s essential to how the banner behaves, which is why there’s no toggle for switching it off.
The ones that need your yes first
Agreeing through the banner switches on Google Analytics 4, which shows us traffic patterns and popular pages without identifying individual visitors, and Microsoft Clarity, which shows anonymised click and scroll behaviour. Both are set to anonymise wherever their provider allows it, and neither one names you.
The one guarding our forms
Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the get-started form is being filled in by a person, not a script. It drops a token that expires quickly rather than following you around afterwards.
Changing course later
The banner asks for your choice the first time you land here, and you can reset that choice by clearing this site’s browser data and starting again. Most browsers also let you block or wipe cookies site-wide, though that can break some functionality. Google separately publishes a browser add-on for opting out of Analytics specifically.
Who actually sets these cookies
Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare each control their own cookie under their own policy, outside anything we can change from our end. None of them here are used for advertising, and none follow you to unrelated sites.
Keeping this updated
Expect this page to be revised whenever our cookie use, or the law behind it, moves on.
