Online psychologist in Brighton
HCPC-registered clinical psychologists offering evidence-based online therapy to adults in Brighton and East Sussex, by secure video, with no GP referral needed.

Brighton has a large share of commuters and students, many of them managing anxiety, low mood or stress around a job, a course or a house share. This practice was built for that: a clinical psychologist you see over video, on a schedule that bends around your commitments.
Who we are
Everyone treating clients here is a clinical psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, the UK regulator for the profession. Registration means doctoral-level training and a standard of practice HCPC holds every member to, checked against a public register. Our clients are adults; we do not work with children or teenagers, and this site will note it clearly if that ever changes.
What brings people to us
Most of the people we see are dealing with one or more of the following:
- Generalised and social anxiety
- Low mood and depression
- Panic attacks
- Health anxiety
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder
- Trauma and PTSD
- Burnout and chronic stress
- Perinatal anxiety and depression
An assessment comes first in every case, so the difficulty you bring shapes the plan rather than a checklist. The full picture is on our expertise section.
How we treat it
Six therapies sit behind that work: EMDR, cognitive behavioural therapy, trauma-focused CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, schema therapy and compassion-focused therapy. Your psychologist picks from this list based on what NICE guidance recommends for your difficulty and what suits you personally, and explains that reasoning rather than assuming it. See the therapies section for how each one works.
Brighton, without the crossing
A city built around the seafront, the Lanes and North Laine tends to keep people moving rather than settled behind a desk, and Brighton station adds Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express trains that put Victoria or London Bridge roughly an hour away and Gatwick about thirty minutes. That is a lot of people already spending part of the week in transit before a therapy appointment gets added on top. Video sessions take the travel out of it: you log in from wherever the day has left you.
This covers clients throughout BN1 and BN2, Hove, Kemptown, Preston Park, Hanover, Withdean and Portslade. Read online therapy in Brighton for more on how sessions run locally.
What happens after you enquire
You start by telling us, in your own words, what has brought you to this point. That goes to our clinical team, who choose the psychologist on our books best suited to it and come back to you directly. What follows is standard: an assessment session, a plan built jointly, and reviews along the way to check it is still working. How we work covers each stage in more depth.
Sessions run 50 minutes by video. Beyond a private room and a working internet connection, there is nothing to prepare, and a joining link arrives before each appointment. Your psychologist may set something to try between sessions, but the pace and the content stay a joint decision throughout.
Online, for now and for the foreseeable future
This practice operates entirely by video across Brighton and East Sussex, with no physical premises attached to it. We will update this site as the practice develops.
